Welcome to our website! The 1st Sliema Scout Group (Bernard's Own) is the
oldest surviving Scout Group outside the UK. Our Scout Group was founded in 1909 and in 2009 we will be celebrating our 100th Anniversary of Scouting in Malta.
Over the years, the Sliema Group has collected a wealth of scouting tradition and has proudly passed this knowledge on from generation to generation. We hope that this website will continue to be a contributing factor in this regard.
Back in 2003 having a climbing wall inside our
headquarters was just the dream of a couple Unit members, but now seven years
on, after a hefty amount of fund-raising, a lot of patience and perseverance
it’s finally a reality!

Last Sunday 4th July, Luxol grounds saw the much expected football challenge between the Venture Unit, current holders of the 'Inter-Sectional Cup' and the Troop (Leaders & Scouts), who have been training regularly for this.
